About the Author

I was born in Japan in the 1970s — part of what is often called the “employment ice age” generation.

I studied law at a regional national university, then worked for a housing equipment manufacturer, where I was in charge of sales and public relations.

After leaving corporate life, I became a freelance web creator. I have over 20 years of experience in web design and developed WordPress websites and managed e-commerce operations across platforms such as Rakuten, Yahoo! Shopping, and Amazon.

Today, I live in Japan with my husband and our two children.

This website is not about tourism.
It is not about anime stereotypes.
It is about ordinary Japan — the quiet values, unspoken expectations, small daily negotiations, and cultural nuances that rarely make headlines.

I write anonymously, not to hide, but to focus on the ideas rather than the individual.

Through these essays, I try to translate what we don’t say.
